Isolation

I have returned to the water series, but decided to photograph my subjects at varying angles to see whether I can create interesting narratives. This photograph was taken in my kitchen sink, the subject is a shot glass full of water; the picture was taken above the object. I had to play around with the light settings to avoid capturing a dimly lit picture, or having high brightness. It took some patience, but I managed to capture this photo using a high shutter speed, and some adjustments to light sensitivity. I did some editing mainly to enhance the intricate lines of the glass cup. It creates an feeling of isolation or exclusion from the outside world. Due to the groundbreaking news that happened on Friday, I'll be doing two traditional pieces, but expect to finish them no later than August. I hope you like the new picture, and have a wonderful day!
